Job Title Senior Fire Engineer Location Manchester, Greater Manchester Salary £55,000 - £70,000 Employment Type Permanent Job Overview Senior Fire Engineer job in Manchester for a specialist fire engineering consultancy delivering design-led solutions across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

This opportunity suits an experienced fire engineer with strong UK project and modelling experience, capable of leading complex new-build and refurbishment projects from concept design through technical delivery while supporting junior engineers and progressing toward chartership.

Role & Responsibilities Lead fire engineering projects through design and technical delivery Prepare fire strategies, reports, calculations and design documentation Undertake smoke, evacuation, zone and CFD modelling Review designs and develop practical fire-engineered solutions Mentor junior engineers and provide technical project leadership You will also attend meetings with architects, developers, clients and statutory authorities, providing clear technical guidance throughout project delivery.

Skills & Experience Required Degree in Fire Engineering or related engineering discipline Senior-level fire engineering consultancy experience CEng status or actively progressing toward chartership Strong UK fire engineering project experience Confident client-facing and technical communication skills You should have experience across new-build and existing buildings, with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple technically demanding projects independently.

Salary & Benefits £55,000 - £70,000 depending on experience Hybrid and flexible working, including nine-day fortnight option Annual discretionary bonus 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension up to 10% and private medical insurance Structured CPD training and mentoring are also provided.
