Platform Engineer (DV)
Location: Wiltshire (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Rate: Up to £440 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: Approx. 7 months
Clearance: High Level Clearance required
We are recruiting for an experienced Platform Engineer to support and maintain a secure, enterprise-scale infrastructure environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer with experience across networking, virtualisation, operating systems and infrastructure security.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support infrastructure platforms, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and implement preventative solutions.
  • Manage patching, vulnerability remediation and security hardening.
  • Support infrastructure monitoring, configuration and automation.
  • Maintain secure access controls and operational processes.
Essential Skills
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DHCP, firewalls and load balancing.
  • Virtualisation: VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent.
  • Operating Systems: Linux and Windows.
  • Security: IAM, RBAC, vulnerability management and patching.
  • Scripting: PowerShell and/or Bash.
  • Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure support experience.
Desirable
  • Agile / DevOps experience.
  • Infrastructure automation and system administration.
  • Experience in secure or regulated environments.
Security Requirements
Active, transferable DV clearance is essential.
