Quick Overview
Job Description
Aerospace is at a turning point — costs are rising, supply chains are strained, and old ways of building can’t keep up. At Neon Aero, we’re breaking that mold. We move fast, think big, and combine start-up agility with aerospace expertise to design, build, and scale aircraft in ways the industry has never seen. Our team leverages automation, AI-driven tools, and a fully connected digital backbone to accelerate innovation and reduce barriers to production.
Here, you won’t just take a job — you’ll help reinvent how the world flies. If you’re ready to solve complex problems, push technology further, and work alongside some of the brightest minds in aerospace, this is your chance to make a real impact.
Neon Aero is seeking a Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to develop, implement, and continuously improve the programs that protect our employees, contractors, visitors, the community, and the environment. - Lead hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action planning to prevent injuries and environmental events.
- Build a culture of accountability and hazard reporting through training, coaching, and cross-functional partnership.
- Turn EHS metrics and trend data into recommendations that reduce risk and improve compliance across the site.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Five or more years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, laboratory, energy, logistics, or similarly regulated operations.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, hazardous waste, stormwater, air, wastewater, chemical management, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, confined space, and emergency response requirements.
- Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, training, and corrective action management.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and influence skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
- Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into practical operational procedures.
Preferred
- Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, OHST, or equivalent.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable management systems.
- Experience managing environmental permits, hazardous materials, waste programs, and contractor safety programs.
- Experience implementing EHS software systems, dashboards, and leading indicators.
- Experience in a multi-site, high-growth, or startup operating environment.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in office, production, warehouse, laboratory, field, or industrial settings depending on site needs.
- The role may require walking production areas, climbing stairs, wearing personal protective equipment, responding to incidents, and supporting occasional off-shift or emergency activities.
- Occasional travel may be required for audits, training, supplier reviews, regulatory meetings, or support of other company locations.
Why Join Us
- Work alongside elite engineering and operations talent from across aerospace and tech.
- Be part of a team moving faster than the industry standard.
- Shape a safety culture that scales with a fast-growing aerospace company.
- Competitive compensation, including equity participation, growth opportunities, and full health benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k)) designed to support you in and out of work.
