About the Role
Join an applied AI research and data team to lead legal-focused projects that help develop high-quality datasets for advanced AI systems. You will own client relationships and project delivery while working across expert teams and internal initiatives.
What You'll Do
Work with leading AI research organizations to develop datasets that capture expert legal reasoning.
Manage teams of domain experts and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard under tight deadlines.
Own client relationships and project execution from planning through delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams on AI research and company-wide initiatives.
Support operational projects as an early member of the team.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of substantive legal experience in a leading law firm, an in-house legal team, government or regulatory work, or a legal technology startup.
A JD or equivalent legal qualification, with experience drafting, negotiating, litigating, or providing legal advice.
Strong legal reasoning and research skills, with the ability to distinguish rigorous analysis from superficial answers.
Excellent communication, client management, and end-to-end project ownership skills.
Experience in a demanding environment such as consulting, investment banking, a startup, or legal practice.
An undergraduate degree from a US, Canadian, or European institution.
Willingness to work an intensive schedule, including five weekdays and some Sunday availability, with the ability to work 60 or more hours when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
