Job Description
Octagon Talent Solutions is a full-service technology recruitment and staffing company based in South Florida. We humanize technical recruitment by identifying candidates' long-term career goals and assessing cultural fit when presenting opportunities. Our focus on long-term relationships helps ensure placements that last.

Job Overview

This is a high-impact, hands-on Technical Product Marketing Lead opportunity based in New York, NY, for a marketing professional who can translate complex developer tooling into clear, compelling narratives that drive adoption and revenue. In this individual contributor role, you will shape end-to-end go-to-market strategy—owning positioning, messaging, demo storytelling, and sales enablement, while partnering closely with product, engineering, and developer relations. If you thrive at the intersection of technical credibility and strategic marketing, and enjoy building artifacts that help technical buyers “get it” fast, this role offers visibility, autonomy, and the chance to define a category narrative from the ground up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Own positioning and messaging for a technical developer tooling product—developing clear value propositions, personas, use cases, and competitive differentiation. Build and maintain a scalable GTM narrative and asset library (pitch deck, one-pagers, battlecards, solution briefs, case study outlines, FAQs). Create and ship technical demos and proof-of-concepts that showcase the product’s capabilities for engineers and enterprise stakeholders; collaborate with engineering to keep demos production-ready.

Lead product and feature launch planning—launch briefs, rollout timelines, internal readiness, and external communications. Partner with Sales to improve pipeline conversion through enablement, objection handling, and ROI/impact frameworks; gather field feedback and iterate quickly. Establish and manage marketing measurement and attribution (campaign tracking, funnel metrics, content performance) to inform what to scale and what to stop. Produce technical content (blogs, tutorials, demo videos, social posts, event talks) aligned to SEO keywords and developer intent.

Support and attend developer events, conferences, and community initiatives (especially in New York, NY) to capture insights, validate messaging, and increase brand credibility.

REQUIREMENTS

4+ years of product marketing experience in developer tools, infrastructure, or technical SaaS; proven ability to market to technical audiences. Demonstrated technical fluency—able to read documentation, understand APIs/CLI workflows, and collaborate confidently with engineers. Experience building and presenting product demos; comfortable creating lightweight prototypes, scripts, or environments to showcase workflows. Strong storytelling and writing skills with a portfolio of technical marketing assets (positioning, enablement, long-form content).

Familiarity with attribution and analytics tooling (e.g., GA4, Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, HubSpot/Marketo) and ability to define and report on KPI dashboards. Working knowledge of modern DevOps/developer ecosystems (Git, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, cloud platforms); exposure to reproducible environments (Nix) is a plus. Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment—prioritizing, shipping, and iterating with minimal oversight.

Bonus: experience with enterprise GTM motions, security/compliance considerations, and sales cycles involving technical buyers and executives.
