Job Description
We are helping our client hire a a motivated, entry-level Robot Service Technician Assistant to support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparations of our delivery robots.
This part-time and weekend-based role is the perfect starting point for individuals looking to build a career in robotics and electro-mechanical assembly. You will ensure our fleet is ready for deployment while learning foundational skills needed to advance in our rapidly growing industry.
As a Robot Service Technician Assistant, you'll:
- Prepare robots for the shift: Ensure all hardware and software are ready for daily deployment.
- Put robots/batteries on chargers for the night: Manage power cycles to ensure maximum fleet readiness.
- Cleaning robots: Maintain physical appearance and protect sensitive external hardware.
- Perform mechanical repairs: Assist with and execute basic repairs on the robot fleet.
- Perform service campaigns: Help implement widespread hardware or software updates across the fleet.
- Assist remote support coordinators: Act as the hands-on field contact for the remote tracking team.
- Perform calibrations and wheel alignment: Ensure sensors and chassis components are properly tuned for safe navigation.
- Keep workshop clean and tidy: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workspace for the entire technical team.
Qualifications:
- Experience with mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment.
- Proficiency in assembling and disassembling products, installing custom electronic modules, and working with AC/DC currents.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
- Soldering skills (a plus).
- Ability to lift and move items exceeding 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license (MVR must be clean for the last 12 months).
- Comfortable working in field settings; no CDL required.
- Attention to detail and a structured, logical approach to problem-solving.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Creative and adaptable mindset to tackle diverse challenges.
