IT Security Engineer | Hyattsville, MD, United States | Remote | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Role

  • Design, develop, and implement secure systems within on-premises infrastructure.
  • Integrate security best practices and technologies into the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other security regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including ISSOs, developers, and system engineers.
  • Support the secure architecture and design of DoD systems in accordance with relevant guidance.
  • Develop and maintain key security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, and POA&Ms.

What You'll Need

  • BS degree and 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity (or equivalent experience).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Poly.
  • At least one DoD 8570.01-M IASAE Level II certification (CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CSSLP, or CASP+ CE).
  • Experience reviewing cybersecurity vulnerabilities and planning mitigations.
  • Proven ability to architect, design, and deploy vulnerability scanning solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows and Linux/UNIX operating systems.
