Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client seeking a Specialist in Davie, FL. The Specialist is responsible for the administration, compliance, communication, and ongoing support of employee benefit programs. This role ensures accurate benefits administration, regulatory compliance, vendor coordination, employee education, and data integrity while supporting a large and diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefit programs in accordance with company policies, procedures, and insurance plan agreements
  • Evaluate, design, and improve benefits processes to ensure programs remain compliant, effective, and aligned with organizational objectives
  • Analyze benefit services, coverage options, and program offerings to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Assist with benefits communications, educational meetings, and employee outreach initiatives
  • Monitor benefit plan effectiveness and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage monthly benefits billing, reconciliation, and payment processes, resolving discrepancies with insurance carriers and internal departments
  • Verify employee eligibility for benefit programs and communicate eligibility changes to appropriate vendors and stakeholders
  • Process enrollments, life event changes, terminations, payroll deduction updates, and COBRA notifications
  • Provide individual and group support regarding benefit plans, enrollment procedures, and coverage options
  • Conduct benefits presentations during new hire orientation, open enrollment, retirement plan enrollment periods, and implementation of new programs
  • Develop and maintain benefits reports, audits, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Accounts Payable, and external vendors to ensure accurate administration of benefit programs
  • Reconcile employee benefit contributions against monthly premium invoices

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience with a strong emphasis on benefits administration
  • Experience supporting employee benefit programs in a large organization of 1,000 or more employees preferred
  • Experience with benefits enrollment, billing reconciliation, audits, payroll deductions, and vendor management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong HRIS knowledge and experience required
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prepare, analyze, and maintain financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Strong knowledge of benefits-related laws and regulations, including

  • HIPAA
  • FMLA
  • ADA
  • ERISA
  • COBRA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday HRIS
  • Experience with 401(k) reconciliation and audit activities
  • Experience supporting benefits programs in hospitality, healthcare, gaming, or other large employee population environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
