Job Description

Job title: Floor Tech

Location: Sturtevant, WI

Pay: $23.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fabrication & Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with metal fabrication, machining, assembly, and equipment maintenance. This role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, produce quality work, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Lay out parts and materials according to engineering prints.

Operate punch press equipment safely and efficiently.

Perform manual machining operations, including milling.

Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for fabrication.

Perform TIG welding (certification not required; experience preferred).

Assemble fabricated components and finished products.

Assist with equipment maintenance and basic repairs.

Maintain awareness of inventory levels and assist with inventory organization as needed.

Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and customer requirements.

Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Experience with manual machining and milling equipment.

Metal cutting and fabrication experience.

TIG welding experience preferred (certification not required).

Mechanical aptitude with maintenance experience of any kind; additional training will be provided.

Understanding of inventory control and material management.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience working in a job shop or custom manufacturing environment is preferred.

Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and safely operate shop equipment.
