Job Description
A global chemical manufacturing organisation with a strong presence in the industrial water treatment sector is seeking a Field Service Technician to support a key customer site in Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on delivering full-service water treatment support for industrial cooling water systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the technical and commercial teams to ensure high service standards, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out water sampling and on-site water analysis
- Monitoring corrosion rates and conducting microbiological testing
- Supporting and implementing water treatment programmes
- Preparing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
- Monitoring chemical consumption and inventory levels
- Refilling and maintaining dosing systems with appropriate chemicals
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing equipment where required
- Installing and servicing specialised water treatment equipment
- Supporting on-site testing activities alongside the field sales and technical teams
- Transporting and handling equipment safely on-site
Additional Information
- This role is primarily dedicated to supporting a major industrial customer site in Rhineland-Palatinate on a Monday-Friday basis. The position offers long-term stability within a well-established international organisation operating across the chemical and water treatment industries.
Candidate Profile
- Completed vocational training in a chemical, technical, or engineering discipline, or a degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
- Previous experience within industrial water treatment, cooling water systems, or technical field service
- Good understanding of water chemistry and chemical handling
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexible and proactive approach to problem solving
- Good MS Office and English language skills
- Valid Category B driving licence
- FLT/Forklift licence advantageous
