Pay Range: $17.00hr - $22.00hr

Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Operator I position is responsible for operating machining tools, inspecting finished parts, monitoring equipment, and supporting overall manufacturing operations while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling, and horizontal machines.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
• Inspect finished pieces.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Observe and listen to operating machines in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for a set up operator to make adjustments.
• Keep required coolant levels on machines.
• Position and fasten work pieces.
• Complete Quality Control paperwork and operation sheets.
• Separate parts.
• Move material or parts.
• Sweep and keep work areas neat.
• Follow safety rules.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to handle specified equipment.
• Basic understanding of operating manufacturing machinery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Medical device experience is preferred.
