A global bank is seeking an Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer (VMware, Citrix). The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will bring 10+ years of proven expertise in On-Prem/Hybrid environments. The Endpoint Infrastructure Engineer will operate both independently and collaboratively within the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. Stationed within the User Infrastructure team, the Engineer must possess advanced technical expertise in core infrastructure technologies, specifically Microsoft Operating Systems, virtualization platforms (VMware, Omnissa/Horizon, and Citrix), and scripting (Microsoft PowerShell and VMware PowerCLI)
Virtualization Infrastructure
- Operational support and security remediation for the Citrix XenApp environment
- Horizon VDI / Omnissa/VMware expert
- Understanding of the Omnissa imaging process
- Workstation Infrastructure
- Expert knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating System. Windows 10/11 workstation security remediation and patch management via MECM and other technologies
- Software end of life remediation / security package deployment
- Patch management, research and remediation for workstations, virtual desktops,
- and Development and deployment of Group Policy (GPO)
- Automation of mundane tasks via PowerShell, Excel - Power Query, BatchPoint of escalation for IT Support team (Customer Service)
Requirements
- Senior Infrastructure Engineer with 10+ years of proven expertise in On-Prem/Hybrid environments Enterprise IT experience within financial services
- Endpoint & Systems Management: Proficient in Microsoft SCCM/MECM and PowerShell scripting to automate and streamline systems administration.
- OS Expertise: Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Windows Workstation OS deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Vulnerability & Patch Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze security trends, coordinating the scheduling, tracking, and remediation of system vulnerabilities.
- Lifecycle Management: Proactively research and remediate End-of-Life (EOL) hardware and software to mitigate security risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Audit Readiness: Partner with IT Audit teams to compile, verify, and deliver comprehensive audit evidence and technical documentation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a closely related technical field preferred
