Job Description:

In this role, you can look forward to:

As a Project Manager, you ll provide project management leadership for Business and Product projects, developing pragmatic delivery and integrated implementation plans with project resources. You will be responsible for adhering to PMO best practices, standards, and framework for projects.

You ll play an integral role in the successful delivery of multi-faced efforts that align to the company s objectives. You will partner with internal technology groups and clients facing teams to ensure solutions result in benefits realized to the company.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Create, maintain, and control project schedules ensuring the successful delivery of program, on time and within budget.
  • Lead and communicate program/project scope, goals, and responsibilities with various project teams.
  • Establish clear project sponsor and stakeholder expectations and engagement model which is then managed throughout the project life cycle.
  • Proactively lead and manage program tollgates, risks, issues, mitigation plans, dependencies, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Develops and maintains reporting procedures and monitors performance in project control activities; prepares and distributes reports related to project activities, health, risk, issues and budget.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • A bachelor s degree in computer science or related field of study is required, and other hands-on experience will be considered.
  • Minimum seven (5-7) years experience project management experience including developing project schedules, managing team resources, creating work breakdown structures, estimating size and effort for new deployment projects.
  • Solid understanding of PMO, SDLC and governance best practices.
  • Ability to effectively apply project management methodologies and enforce project standards.
  • Self-starter who can dive into complex projects and take it forward with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with project management s/w tools as well as other productivity tools including ADO, JIRA, MS Office, Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communications skills (interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written)
  • Ability to direct and drive complex project efforts to completion.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide competent and proactive leadership.
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners.
  • Sounds like business acumen and good judgment.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility, interest, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment on mission critical projects.
  • Possess excellent technical aptitude and a desire to learn constantly. Performs duties under limited supervision, applying a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Limited travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and supporting State and local assistance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in PBM / Medicaid / Pharmacy or Medicaid domains
  • PMP Certified
  • Demonstrated history of managing external projects with multiple work efforts that may include (but not limited to), vendor management, staffing, business process and application development
