The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes for container stacking and organization.
• Conduct pre and post-use equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including day or second shifts, weekends, and holidays, with open availability.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
