Vega Consulting is Hiring! Senior DevOPS Engineer for our direct client located in Maryland. Hybrid position will require candidates to travel onsite a few times a month.

Qualifications/ Required Skills:

• 10+ years of overall experience in IT including hands-on Development and Systems engineering background.
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; master s degree preferred.
• The responsibilities include execution of full life cycle activities in support of multiple devops Projects
• On call rotation support required
• 3 years software, DevOps and/or cloud systems engineering
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, especially with Jenkins using Groovy, Advanced
• Understanding of container-based technologies, especially Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, Understanding of microservice concepts,
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python),
• Technical knowledge of AWS managed services (VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS), including monitoring and analytics tools such as AWS CloudWatch
• Experience with code management systems (Git)
• Experience maintaining Java web applications (Spring Boot)
• Keen communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to collaborate to solve technical problems across teams.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.,

Day to Day Activities:

• Leverage the Devops Scoring Framework to improve DevOps and Product Maturity Index numbers for delivery teams.
• Build the agreed upon App that leverages EKS, Cloudnative concepts and implement in production.
• Retrospect on the current implementation and document for future use.
  AWS and EKS operations
• Cloud Native tools
• Administer AWS console where Cloudbees Agent exists on the EC2 instance.
