Software Engineer

Job Requirements
Position Title: Java Developer Location: 6 - 12 Months with possibility of extension Duration: REMOTE Start: Immediate Here is a list of skills needed for a backend engineer: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent. 6+ years of hands-on software development experience. Solid understanding of core Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented design principles. Strong experience developing RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot.

Experience working with relational databases (such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL) and proficiency in SQL for data modeling and querying. Application development utilizing Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, including unit testing. Experience writing unit and integration tests. Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve productivity and code quality while handling enterprise data responsibly. Understanding of Agile software development principles and experience working as part of a Scrum-based delivery team.

Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (such as GitHub). Exposure to cloud-native enterprise applications deployed in PCF. Experience with Spring Cloud and Cloud Foundry application deployment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting production applications. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members. Effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker. Hands-on experience with messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
