Guidewire Technical Lead

job summary:

We are seeking a Guidewire Technical Lead to join our Financial Services practice, driving key software design, integration, and engineering initiatives for a major insurance client. In this hybrid role, you will lead cross-functional development efforts, guide core technical decisions, and deliver robust Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions.

responsibilities:

• Lead technical design, configuration, and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter core modules.
• Translate complex business and functional specifications into clear, actionable technical designs for development teams.
• Guide and mentor software engineers, fostering collaborative problem solving and technical excellence.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership and multi-disciplinary teams to resolve system architecture challenges and optimize performance.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Expert-level technical experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integration.

Strong background leading software development teams, driving architecture decisions, and mentoring engineers.

Solid experience with Java software development within the Insurance / P&C domain.

Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) in either Hartford, CT or Hunt Valley, MD.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Guidewire Advanced Product Designer (APD).

Familiarity with modern system architecture, design patterns, and Agile delivery.

Strong written and verbal communication and team facilitation skills.
