The OpNet Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation solutions that support the deployment, configuration, operation, and recovery of critical Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure and applications. This role focuses on transforming traditional infrastructure management into a repeatable, secure, and fully automated delivery model using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.


The engineer will develop and maintain automation frameworks utilizing Terraform, Ansible, HashiCorp Packer, Git, Vault, and Azure DevOps to provision and configure infrastructure across Nutanix AHV, VMware, Linux, and Windows platforms. The role is responsible for implementing secure, version-controlled infrastructure, establishing standardized server baselines, integrating automated validation and recovery testing, and supporting disaster recovery and cybersecurity resilience initiatives.


Working closely with infrastructure, operations, security, database, and application teams, the IaC Engineer will create reusable automation modules, CI/CD pipelines, system documentation, operational runbooks, and monitoring solutions that improve consistency, reduce manual effort, and eliminate configuration drift. The role will also contribute to observability initiatives through monitoring and logging platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki to improve system reliability and operational awareness.


The primary objective of this position is to increase the reliability, security, recoverability, and operational efficiency of critical OpNet systems by enabling automated infrastructure deployment, rapid environment restoration, and repeatable platform management practices. This directly supports business continuity, disaster recovery readiness, auditability, and the modernization of OpNet operational technology platforms.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and maintain Terraform infrastructure modules and deployments.


Build and support Ansible playbooks and configuration automation frameworks.


Create and maintain Oracle Linux and Windows golden images using Packer.


Implement CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.


Integrate Vault-based secrets management and certificate handling.


Automate provisioning and configuration of Nutanix AHV and VMware environments.


Develop automated validation, recovery, and disaster recovery workflows.


Support observability solutions including Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Alertmanager.


Produce operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.


Collaborate with security and operations teams to implement secure-by-design infrastructure solutions.


Participate in architecture design, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives.
