The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate and timely freight movement. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to guarantee operational safety. • Document and track container movements and yard activities. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is strictly required for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
