Job Description

A leading enterprise organization based in the United States is hiring a full-time Lead Platform Engineer to help build modern cloud infrastructure products on AWS. This role can be remote and focuses on backend engineering, Kubernetes, and API-driven platform development. The team is responsible for creating scalable internal tools that enable engineering teams to move faster and safer in the cloud.

This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who wants to stay hands-on while influencing how an entire organization builds and deploys software. The team is rethinking traditional infrastructure by shifting toward API-first platforms and intelligent automation, including emerging AI workflows. Engineers here own their systems, contribute to platform strategy, and directly improve developer productivity across the company.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience building backend services using Java or Python
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services and cloud native architecture
  • Solid experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
  • Proven ability to design and build APIs and microservices
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
  • Background leading technical initiatives while remaining actively involved in coding

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or shared services
  • Exposure to AI workflows, automation, or agent based systems
  • Strong understanding of developer experience and platform usability
  • Familiarity with cloud migrations and modernizing legacy systems
  • Experience writing ADRs or contributing to architectural decision making
