Job Description
Task Responsibilities:
Identifying and assessing potential security risks and vulnerabilities in the organization's IT systems and networks.
Implementing and maintaining security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) system, to protect the organization's IT systems and data.
Monitoring security-related data to detect potential security incidents and taking appropriate action to minimize damage and protect the organization's assets.
Responding to security incidents by following incident response procedures, such as collecting and preserving evidence, containing the incident and restoring normal operations.
Keeping up to date with the latest security technologies and best practices to ensure that the organization's IT systems and data are protected against emerging threats.
Collaborating with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure that security solutions and controls are integrated into the organization's IT systems and processes.
Assisting in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Essential Requirements For The Position:
Technical diploma with focus in IT. A bachelor degree in computer science (or any other relevant field) would be an asset.
At least 3 years of experience in an IT Operations Center with focus on cybersecurity.
Strong skills in IT network technologies, cloud technologies and cybersecurity.
Good knowledge of IT systems and network infrastructure.
Understanding of network architecture and services.
Experience with intrusion detection methodologies for detecting host and/or network-based intrusion incidents.
Experience with log review & live response.
Familiar with application monitoring concepts.
Willing to attend regular trainings and stay up-to-date with new technologies.
Fluent in English (spoken & written); any additional language will be considered a strong asset.
Good problem solving skills, analytical approach and research-oriented.
Passion for excellence.
Good interpersonal/communication skills and a customer-cantered mindset.
Comfortable working in a multicultural fast-pacing environment.
Working Conditions:
Permanent, full-time contract based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
Working hours: morning & afternoon shifts and on call service during nights (rotation).
Occasional travel may be required.
A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of a positive selection.
