Project Scheduler - Part-Time, 24-Month FTC
Quick overview
Job description
We’ve been around since 1988, and today we’re one of Australia’s largest profit‑to‑member super funds.
That means everything we do is focused on delivering better outcomes for our members – not shareholders.
Closing date: Tuesday 17th November 2026.
Please note Rest does not accept speculative resumes from recruitment agencies
Rest will review applications prior to the closing date and may close the role earlier
At Rest, we help more than 2 million Australians to build a better financial future. With around $112 billion in funds under management, we focus on delivering strong long-term outcomes for our members — from their first job through to retirement*. Your best at Rest means focusing on what matters, being trusted to get on with it, and knowing your work genuinely makes a difference. That’s how we operate every day, guided by our values: Be Daring, Keep It Simple, Take Action and Have Grit.
Join us as a Project Scheduler, where you’ll take ownership of building, baselining and maintaining project schedules across a busy portfolio of initiatives. Working closely with Project Managers and subject matter experts, you’ll bring multiple schedules together to provide a clear view of milestones, dependencies and delivery priorities, helping teams stay aligned and on track. As scheduling requirements stabilise, you’ll also support broader project coordination and PMO activities. This is your opportunity to make a real contribution to the financial wellbeing of millions of Australians.
This is a two-year fixed-term, part-time opportunity with flexibility around working days. The role will typically require 1–3 days per week, with additional days on occasion depending on workload and program requirements. The initial phase is expected to require greater support as project schedules are established, with requirements varying as the program progresses.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Build, baseline and maintain accurate project and program schedules using Microsoft Project, ensuring milestones, dependencies and critical activities are clearly captured and monitored.
- Manage multiple concurrent schedules and consolidate them into a master schedule, providing clear visibility of delivery across the broader project portfolio.
- Partner with Project Managers and subject matter experts to establish schedules, monitor progress and maintain accurate delivery information in a changing project environment.
- Support program governance and reporting, maintaining accurate project documentation, RAID records and delivery tracking.
- Provide broader PMO and coordination support as scheduling requirements allow, including meeting coordination, communications, invoice processing and SharePoint maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience building project or program schedules from scratch, establishing baselines and maintaining them through delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, with practical experience managing milestones, dependencies and critical activities.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent project schedules, with exposure to bringing individual schedules together into a master schedule highly regarded.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to keep schedules and delivery information accurate as priorities change.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work closely with Project Managers, subject matter experts and broader delivery teams.
- Experience supporting broader PMO activities such as governance reporting, RAID management, project documentation and coordination is advantageous.
