The Role

• Collaborate with finance and accounting directors to ensure accurate and timely recording of journal entries and transactions.
• Provide guidance and training to other accountants, acting as an initial resource for transaction recording and policy inquiries.
• Perform daily accounting tasks for assigned communities, stepping in for those without dedicated accountants.
• Prepare daily cash account reconciliations and monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues, implementing processes and controls to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, consolidations, budgets, forecasts, and audit processes.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day accounting tasks and resolve complex issues.
• Experience assisting with financial reporting and audit processes.
