Job Description
My client is looking for an HR Administrator to join them on an initial 9-month basis. As the HR Administrator you will join and support the HR Business Partnering teams to provide effective and efficient HR administration, covering employee queries, HR systems, data and document management
Role: HR Administrator
Pay: 24.16 per hour via Umbrella
Location: Bolton
Contract: 9 Months
Hours: Monday - Friday 37 hours per week
Security Clearance: BPSS
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers, responding to queries and providing guidance on the effective use of HR systems and tools.
- Process and maintain employee lifecycle changes across HR systems, including contractual amendments, organisational changes and shift pattern updates, ensuring all information is accurate, up to date and compliant with company policies and procedures.
- Respond to routine HR enquiries, providing appropriate advice and guidance, directing employees and managers to relevant information and resources, and managing expectations effectively.
- Upload, maintain and manage electronic employee records and HR documentation within designated filing systems, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, compliant and readily accessible.
- Act as Data Steward, taking ownership of HR document management and ensuring employee records are accurately maintained, regularly audited where required, and retained in line with data protection legislation and data retention policies.
- Manage a range of HR administration queries and issues, investigating records, files and databases as required to resolve queries, identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
- Produce, maintain and analyse HR data and reports, providing HR teams with accurate and reliable information to support informed business decisions and ensure consistent reporting across business directorates.
- Attend and take accurate notes at a range of informal and formal meetings, as required, working alongside HR Business Partners and HR Advisors where appropriate.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partnering teams and wider HR Administration teams to streamline and continuously improve HR processes, develop consistent ways of working, share best practice and deliver a high-quality, consistent service across the business.
- Undertake specific HR projects and assignments on behalf of HR Business Partners and HR Advisors, working independently where appropriate and with guidance and support as required.
- Prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively, balancing competing demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Work collaboratively with other HR Administrators to provide cross-cover, share workloads and ensure continuity of service across all areas of the business.
Skillset/experience required:
- A highly organised, experienced and proactive Administrator with the ability to manage high volumes of work, prioritise effectively and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience of working with HR Systems preferably Workday, with confidence processing employee lifecycle changes and maintaining accurate employee records
- Experience of working with data, ensuring high levels of accuracy, data integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies
- Experiences in process improvement and streamlining to enable efficiency and created standardised ways of working
- Strong customer service skills with experience of being customer facing, dealing with supporting people at all levels of the business.
- An advanced level of expertise on Microsoft packages such as Excel and PowerPoint are essential, particularly with the ability manipulate and analyse data in Excel and produce accurate reports.
- Ideally some HR administration experience or qualification such as CIPD, although this is not essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and multi-task with a range of complex organisational and business activities whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
