Business Development Manager Data Centre/IT Infrastructure - Up to £85k - OTE - £30k-£50k

A leading technology infrastructure business is looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to its specialist data-centre sales team as part of its continued growth.

The company designs, delivers and supports the physical technology infrastructure that enables large, complex and mission-critical environments to operate. Its work includes structured cabling, connectivity, network infrastructure and data-centre solutions and services.

This is a genuine hunter role. Youll be responsible for identifying opportunities, opening doors, building senior relationships and winning complex projects, then retaining ownership of the accounts you bring in and developing them over time.

Youll be selling into the data-centre market, targeting organisations across the ecosystem including data-centre operators, colocation providers, hyperscalers, systems integrators, cloud and AI providers, enterprise organisations and major project partners.

Were looking for someone with:

• A proven track record in new-business sales and winning new customers
• A strong understanding of the data-centre market and wider ecosystem
• Experience selling products, services or solutions into data-centre customers or projects
• The drive and resilience to create opportunities rather than wait for leads
• Confidence engaging senior commercial and technical stakeholders
• Experience of consultative, project-led sales and longer sales cycles
• A proactive, commercially sharp approach and genuine appetite to win

You may currently work for an infrastructure provider, technology supplier, consultancy, contractor, systems integrator or solutions business operating within the wider data-centre market.

You don't need to be selling exactly the same solutions today. What's important is that you understand the data-centre market, know how the different organisations within the ecosystem fit together, and can demonstrate your ability to identify and win new business.
