The Role

  • Design, analyze, plan, modify, and maintain complex networks supporting data, voice, and video communications.
  • Perform configuration, preventative maintenance, and fault isolation for network hardware and telecommunications circuitry.
  • Provide detailed schematics for network architecture and make recommendations for hardware and software selections.
  • Maintain up-to-date expertise in networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and gateways.
  • Plan and implement network enhancements and upgrades, conducting thorough testing of network systems.
  • Evaluate and report on emerging network technologies to improve system capabilities.

What You'll Need

  • Expert working knowledge of network infrastructure design, routed data protocols, and hardware platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Firm knowledge of core network technologies such as DHCP, DNS, SSH, TCP, and UDP.
  • Experience with WAN, LAN, datacenter routing, switching, firewalls, and network security technologies (IPsec, SSL).
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), TelePresence Management Suite (TMS), and TelePresence Video Communication Server (VCS).
