Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Controls Tech to support reliable, efficient operation of AWS data centers. You'll monitor and troubleshoot BMS, EPMS, and HVAC control systems, respond to alarms, and perform root-cause analysis to protect uptime. In this fast-paced, customer-obsessed environment, you'll help commission new controls, refine sequences, and improve energy performance. You'll partner with facilities and operations teams, follow strict safety and security standards, and grow your skills with cutting-edge infrastructure at global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data center building management and control systems (BMS/EPMS/HVAC).
  • Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions for alarms, system faults, and reliability issues.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and documentation of new controls infrastructure and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with facilities, networking, and operations teams to ensure uptime and safety standards.
  • Review and adjust control sequences, setpoints, and trends to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records, drawings, and change logs for all controls-related work.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with AWS standards, industry codes, and security procedures.
