Data Center Controls Tech | Canton, MS, United States | On-site | $29.00 - $51.00 USD hourly

The Role
- Deploy, service, and upgrade Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) within data centers.
- Perform point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers, and conduct first-line diagnostics and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Install, replace, configure, and calibrate sensors, and supervise low-voltage electrical contractors.
- Read and understand electrical schematics and control panel drawings, with a basic understanding of control loops and field sensor functions.
- Create and manage system documentation, including red-lined drawings and method of procedures, while following change management processes.
- Participate in commissioning, system-level testing, and root cause analysis.
What You'll Need
- A technical diploma or Associate degree with at least one year of experience in industrial instrumentation/controls or equivalent electrical/mechanical operations.
- Minimum of one year of experience with mission-critical low and medium voltage electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Basic understanding of industrial control systems, controllers, programming, and troubleshooting of analog, discrete, and networked field signals.
- Experience deploying, servicing, and upgrading BMS and EPMS or similar industrial controls systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control panel drawings.
- Willingness to work on-call, respond to after-hours emergencies, and work at heights or in challenging site conditions.
