Oberarzt (m/w/d) Gastroenterologie | Owschlag, Germany | On-site

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated specialist to join a leading regional hospital that serves as a major healthcare provider in its state. This facility is renowned for its commitment to innovation, leading-edge medicine, and comprehensive patient care across numerous specialized departments.

The Role

  • Provide comprehensive specialist care for inpatients and outpatients across the full spectrum of gastroenterology and internal medicine.
  • Independently perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, and participate in ERCP and endosonography.
  • Take shared responsibility for ward management, leading rounds, managing treatment cases, and coordinating interdisciplinary care.
  • Supervise junior doctors and actively contribute to the education and training of medical staff.
  • Collaborate closely with other internal medicine sections, surgical departments, radiology, and other specialist areas.
  • Participate in the strategic development of medical concepts, clinical pathways, quality standards, and on-call duties.

What You'll Need

  • Specialist qualification in Internal Medicine, with a specialization or strong interest in Gastroenterology being a significant advantage.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with foundational knowledge or willingness to train in endosonography and ERCP.
  • Proficiency in clinical information systems (KIS) for documentation, treatment planning, and coding.
  • Strong ability to work in a structured, independent, and responsible manner, with excellent decision-making and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional teamwork and cooperation skills, with high communication competence in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary settings.
  • Keen interest in the conceptual advancement of medical processes, quality assurance, and medical education.
