Lead Hybrid Infrastructure Administrator
Location: Houston, Texas
Role Overview
This organization is seeking a highly skilled Lead Hybrid Infrastructure Administrator to manage, maintain, and modernize enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will direct IT strategy for global enterprise infrastructure, aligning systems with business goals and technology innovations. This pivotal position ensures the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of critical infrastructure while driving modernization initiatives and leading IT transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities

• Direct IT strategy for global enterprise infrastructure and develop enterprise-wide IT policies.
• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot on-premises server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers.
• Manage and configure network components and firewall rule configurations to maintain a secure network environment.
• Collaborate with the IT team to design, implement, and maintain virtualized environments using VMware.
• Administer and support hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and related cloud services.
• Develop and implement automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to streamline system administration and provisioning tasks.
• Oversee operations teams, implement cloud-first strategies, and ensure security best practices across all environments.
• Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure project delivery and operational excellence.
• Demonstrate project management leadership throughout the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience: Fifteen or more years of experience in enterprise IT leadership, infrastructure strategy, and systems governance is required.
Technical Skills: Deep expertise in traditional systems administration is required, including servers, virtualization (VMware), storage, networking, Active Directory, domain controllers, Group Policy, and firewall management. Proficiency in scripting and automation utilizing PowerShell, Bash, or Python is required. Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, or Pulumi is required.
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing DevOps practices and utilizing CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
• Specialized knowledge of storage solutions including Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, and Avamar.
• Familiarity with SonicWall and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and soft skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
