This employer is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support a critical government contract within the Civilian Division. The role involves contributing to high-impact documentation and ensuring clear, concise communication for a vital agency. The Role

  • Review, revise, and edit technical documents, manuals, and instructions to align with style guides and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to produce clear, well-organized written drafts.
  • Standardize content for clarity, flow, and readability, ensuring grammatical correctness.
  • Prepare, edit, and revise various forms of documentation, including reports and correspondence.
  • Maintain an updated log of technical documents and their revision schedules.
  • Develop original written content by gathering and synthesizing information from diverse sources.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive technical writing experience.
  • Proven ability to write in a wide variety of formats, styles, and "voices."
  • Experience with Federally-mandated "plain language" is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with records management processes and developing filing systems.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Investigation (US Citizenship required).
