Technical Writer | Ashton, MD, United States | On-site | $85,000 - $115,000

We're hiring on behalf of a leading global technology and professional services company renowned for its work with major government agencies, defense, and the intelligence community. The Role

Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, manuals, and operational procedures.
Develop and maintain comprehensive Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for project management and compliance.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to gather technical information.
Ensure all documentation adheres to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current systems.
Maintain revision records, version control, and documentation repositories.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field (experience may substitute for education).
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
Familiarity with industry-standard writing styles or government-specific guidelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to quickly translate complex technical information into clear documentation.
Experience developing and maintaining POA&Ms or similar project plans.
Active Top Secret clearance, with eligibility for SCI.
