Job Title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Data Platform
Location: Beverly Hills, CA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Visa: Any valid visa is fine.

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong AWS infrastructure and production reliability experience, along with supporting data engineering experience.

The candidate will independently own infrastructure delivery, automation, troubleshooting, and production support, including the infrastructure supporting data platforms.

Must-Have Experience:

  • Experience with relevant Infrastructure, SRE, or Platform Engineering experience.
  • Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure experience, including production ownership of networking, IAM, compute, storage, and databases.
  • Practical experience with AWS VPC, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
  • Strong Terraform experience including reusable modules, remote state, environment separation, drift management, and safe changes through reviewed plans and CI/CD.
  • Production reliability experience including incident response, root cause analysis, monitoring, alerting, service objectives, and reducing recurring operational issues.
  • Strong Linux and networking troubleshooting skills, including processes, resource utilization, DNS, TLS, routing, load balancing, and connectivity.
  • Experience with Docker, containers, Git, CI/CD, deployment troubleshooting, and rollback procedures.
  • Strong Python and Shell scripting experience for infrastructure automation, diagnostics, and eliminating manual work.
  • Experience with security and recovery practices including least-privilege access, secrets management, backups, restoration testing, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience with capacity planning, resource tuning, performance optimization, and AWS cost optimization.

Supporting Data Skills:

  • Practical experience supporting production data workloads.
  • Redshift and/or Databricks experience, including platform access, connectivity, workload monitoring, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Airflow and dbt familiarity, including troubleshooting failed runs, dependencies, and configuration issues.
  • Strong SQL and data operations experience for investigating pipeline failures, checking data freshness, retries, backfills, and recovery.
