M&A/PE Associate

About the Role

Join a collaborative corporate practice as a mid-level M&A and private equity associate. You will lead transactions from due diligence through closing while advising clients on general corporate matters and working closely with partners.

What You'll Do

• Run M&A transactions end-to-end, from due diligence through closing.

• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, merger agreements, and financing documents.

• Manage due diligence processes and support private equity sponsors and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.

• Advise clients on entity formation, corporate structuring, and ongoing corporate matters.

• Work directly with clients and partners across multiple matters.

What We're Looking For

• Four to eight years of M&A or private equity transactional experience at a law firm, with the ability to independently run deals.

• Experience with private equity-sponsored transactions, due diligence, and transaction documentation.

• Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements.

• A Juris Doctor degree and a license to practice law in Missouri, or willingness to obtain one.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and matters.

• General corporate experience, such as entity formation and structuring, is helpful. Experience with debt financings, equity structuring, or cross-border transactions is also relevant.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $205,000 to $285,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
