Job DescriptionSpecial Education Resource Teacher\nHourly Rate: $50-$55\nLocation: Kansas City, MOOnsite – School SettingPosition Summary\nRCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for a school-based opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri.\nThis position may begin part-time for the 2026–2027 school year, with the opportunity to take on substitute teaching responsibilities and participate in job shadowing.

The school is looking for someone who can provide special education resource support this year, with the potential to transition into a full-time contract for the 2027–2028 school year.\nThis could be a great opportunity for an educator looking to build a relationship with the school while gaining additional experience and potentially moving into a long-term full-time role.

Responsibilities Schedule / Shift\n\n Schedule: Part-time opportunity for the 2026–2027 school year\n Location: In-person in Kansas City, MO\n Additional opportunities: Substitute teaching responsibilities and job shadowing\n Future opportunity: Potential full-time contract for the 2027–2028 school year\n Hours per week: To be determined with the school\nKey Duties\n\n Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students receiving special education services\n Support students in a resource setting based on their individualized educational needs\n Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, related service providers, and administrators\n Assist with implementing student accommodations, modifications, and educational goals\n Maintain appropriate student documentation and monitor progress\n Provide substitute classroom coverage as needed and agreed upon with the school\n Participate in job shadowing and other opportunities to become familiar with the school’s programs and students\nRequirements Education\n\n Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field\nLicenses & Certifications\n\n Appropriate Missouri teaching certification or eligibility for certification for the assignment\n Required school and state clearances must be completed prior to placement\nSkills\n\n Strong communication and collaboration skills\n Ability to provide individualized academic support to students with varying learning needs\n Strong classroom management and organizational skills\n Flexibility to support both special education resource services and substitute teaching responsibilities\n Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams\nBenefits\nPer Diem / Temporary Hourly Roles\n\n Comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision\n Company-paid Basic Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability for employees working 30+ hours per week\n Paid sick leave may be available based on hours worked and state laws\n Benefit offerings are subject to legal requirements, eligibility status, and work location\n Employees age 21 and older can participate in the 401(k) Savings Plan\nAbout Us\nRCM Healthcare Services works with professionals across schools, healthcare, and community-based settings nationwide.
