• Validate core insurance flows: Oversee the SIT, UAT and end-to-end testing of finance and premium billing, and other systems.
• Manage EDI data integration: Direct and perform validation on healthcare EDI transactions, ensuring accurate processing of data types such as 834 (Enrollment), 837 (Claims), and 835 (Remittance).
• Ensure regulatory compliance: Verify that all applications and data handling practices strictly comply with HIPAA, ACA (Affordable Care Act), privacy and security rules.
• Perform heavy backend data validation: Lead complex SQL data verification efforts to ensure database integrity across complex provider networks and legacy systems.

• Develop test plans: Create comprehensive test strategies, resource allocations, and timelines for major system implementations and upgrades.
• Mentor and guide teams: Work with a team of manual and automation QA engineers, assigning daily tasks and conducting reviews of test artifacts.
• Coordinate defect triage: Facilitate defect review meetings with developers, business analysts, and product owners to prioritize and resolve software bugs.
• Report quality metrics: Deliver clear release-readiness reports and test execution metrics to project leadership and compliance officers.

• Experience: 5+ years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role, specifically within the healthcare insurance or payer industry.
• Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of healthcare payer business workflows and electronic data interchange (EDI) standard formats.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with SQL for backend database validation and experience implementing or overseeing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Tools: Expert familiarity with test management and bug tracking ecosystems like Jira and QMetry.
• Compliance Knowledge: Clear understanding of HIPAA regulations, PHI data masking techniques, and healthcare compliance guidelines.
