Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and people-focused professional to support an onsite participant study and data collection program. The role guides participants through structured sessions, operates data collection equipment, verifies information quality, and follows established privacy and operating procedures. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working with people, learns technology quickly, and performs consistently in a process-driven environment.
What You Will Do
Participant Experience
· Welcome participants, complete check-in activities, and confirm required documentation.
· Explain session steps clearly, answer procedural questions, and help participants feel comfortable with the process.
· Guide participants through structured activities while maintaining a professional and respectful experience.
Session Execution and Data Quality
· Follow approved session guides, checklists, and operating procedures to ensure consistent execution.
· Monitor sessions, document outcomes, and promptly escalate safety, privacy, technical, or participant concerns.
· Confirm that required recordings, files, logs, and supporting documentation are complete and accurate.
Equipment and Site Support
· Prepare, test, and operate mobile devices, cameras, sensors, and related data collection equipment.
· Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate additional support when an issue cannot be resolved locally.
· Assist with daily site setup, equipment inventory, study materials, scheduling, and participant flow.
Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· At least one year of experience in customer service, research support, field operations, data collection, event coordination, healthcare support, laboratory support, or administrative operations.
· Clear verbal and written communication skills.
· Comfort interacting professionally with people from varied backgrounds.
· Basic technical aptitude and the ability to learn new devices, tools, and procedures.
· Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow documented processes.
· Ability to work onsite in San Diego and accommodate schedule flexibility when program needs require it.
Preferred Qualifications
· Associate degree, bachelor degree, or equivalent additional experience.
· Experience supporting studies, surveys, events, field programs, or other structured participant activities.
· Experience operating cameras, sensors, tablets, mobile devices, or comparable equipment.
· Experience in handling confidential or sensitive information.
· Current first aid or CPR certification.
