Job Description

Who we are

At Hiverge, our mission is to build algorithmic superintelligence: an AI discovery engine that automatically writes algorithms for the most critical optimisation problems.

Our founding team is composed of world-class researchers from Google DeepMind and University of Cambridge, having co-developed AlphaTensor, FunSearch, and Nobel-prize winning AlphaFold. At Hiverge, you will be working with the brightest minds in AI, algorithms, and mathematics.

If you’re passionate about AI and eager to shape transformative technologies, we’d love to hear from you.

About this role

We are seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, security and cost-efficiency of our AI workloads.

You will:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc).

  • Design and implement security best practices and infrastructure hardening for all cloud deployments.

  • Deploy and operate AI agents at scale, ensuring high availability and robust performance.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to enhance system visibility.

  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to align infrastructure with business needs.

  • Take ownership of meeting defined SLOs, including participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure in a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) in a production environment (Terraform, Helm etc).

  • Deep understanding of cloud security best practices.

  • Experience with Kubernetes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

What sets you apart

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

  • Experience with large-scale AI / ML workloads (particularly using GPUs).

  • Familiarity with AI agents or LLM-based systems, especially LLM inference systems.

  • Experience with Golang and Python.

  • Open-source contributions or active community involvement is highly valued.

We offer competitive compensation, generous benefits packages, and offer a stimulating work environment, with the opportunity to contribute to the future of generative AI.
