Job Description

Systems Engineer
Cheltenham (Minimum 3 days onsite per week)
12 Months
Up to 80/hr Umbrella
Inside IR35



The Role

We're seeking Systems Engineers to support the development, integration, and verification of Electrical Power Distribution Systems within a highly regulated engineering environment.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in early lifecycle systems engineering, including requirements capture, system architecture, and concept development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Define, analyse, and manage system requirements.
  • Contribute to system architecture and design activities.
  • Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation.
  • Develop test procedures and analyse results.
  • Manage requirements traceability, baselines, and change control.
  • Work closely with software, hardware, and other engineering teams.


Essential Skills

  • Systems engineering experience across development and/or verification activities.
  • Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience with requirements management and system architecture.
  • Knowledge of verification and validation processes.
  • Experience in complex engineering environments (aerospace, defence, automotive, etc.).


Desirable Skills

  • Electrical Power Distribution Systems knowledge.
  • MATLAB/Simulink modelling for prototyping and concept development.
  • Closed-loop control systems experience.
  • Knowledge of ARP4754A or similar standards.
  • Agile/Kanban experience.
