Position: SAP PP/QM Functional Lead, Rydell/Katrina Tech.

Location: Hybrid- 4 days onsite in Cleveland and Chicago (candidates do need to be local, all expenses paid)

Rate: $80/hr. on C2c (Flex)

SAP PP/QM Functional Lead to support and enhance SAP S/4HANA manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for optimizing Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) processes, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable SAP solutions, and partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning (PP)

• Configure and support SAP PP including Bills of Materials (BOMs), Routings, Work Centers, Production/Process Orders, Production Versions, Capacity Planning, and Shop Floor Control.
• Maintain and govern production master data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes and integration with Supply Chain operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve production planning and execution.
• Support integration between SAP and manufacturing execution or shop floor systems where applicable.

Quality Management (QM)

• Configure and support SAP QM including Inspection Plans, Inspection Lots, Usage Decisions, Quality Notifications, and related quality processes.
• Maintain quality master data including inspection characteristics, sampling procedures, and quality records.
• Support non-conformance, quality notification, and inventory quality processes.
• Partner with quality teams to improve inspection and compliance workflows.

Release Management & Testing

• Assess the impact of SAP upgrades and enhancements on manufacturing and quality processes.
• Lead functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for PP/QM enhancements and releases.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing across integrated business processes and external manufacturing systems.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP PP/QM experience, including several years of hands-on configuration.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning processes.
• Experience supporting discrete, process, or repetitive manufacturing environments.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Quality Management.
• Knowledge of manufacturing system integrations is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Technical Skills

• SAP PP configuration including BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, MRP, Production Orders, Capacity Planning, and Shop Floor Control.
• SAP QM configuration including Inspection Plans, Inspection Lots, Usage Decisions, Quality Notifications, and quality master data.
• Experience with S/4HANA manufacturing capabilities and embedded analytics.
• Familiarity with integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, APIs, or middleware connecting SAP with manufacturing systems.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field.
• SAP certifications or relevant SAP training are a plus.
