Job Description

Corrugated & Rigid Box Plant - Opening for 1st Shift Production Technician

  • Union Manufacturing Plant - join the union after 30 working days
  • Manufacture corrugated and rigid box packaging and displays
  • Full time position available for 1st Shift - 6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M.
  • Competitive Wages and benefits - $25.59/hr starting pay
  • Primarily responsible for feeding sheets of raw stock into a Rotary Die Cutting Machine
  • Secondary responsibilities include assisting the machine operator  in all aspects of set up and operation of the machine.  This includes but is not limited to:
    • Performing in-process inspections
    • Meeting general workmanship guidelines for quality
    • Accurate data collection into the Amtech PDC
    • Meet production goals of the Company & quality requirements of our customers
    • Act as an Assistant Machine Operator/Feeder for other machines as assigned
    • Other job duties as assigned
  • Must be willing and able to be trained to successfully fill in as the Operator in the event the Operator is absent.
  • Must be able to perform these job requirements full-time, with frequent overtime hours as needed.

  • Will adhere to all company policies within the plant including safety, fire, GMP’s, and sanitation rules.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Preferred candidates are familiar with a corrugated or rigid box manufacturing plan, but on-the-job training is also available.
  • Must be flexible with job duties assigned.  The tasks assigned can and will change multiple times per day.
  • Must be able to stand and walk short distances most of the shift.
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending, stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, pushing, & pulling for various tasks
  • Must be able to retrieve and hang Print Plates and Dies, lifting them above chest height, and put them away prior to placing the next Plate or Die.
  • Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Due to the size of the raw stock, must be able to lift and control large sheets of corrugated.
