Private Credit Associate, Credit Solutions

A leading alternative investment firm is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its private credit investing team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to evaluate and execute complex financing transactions for upper middle market and large-cap businesses, working alongside private equity sponsors, management teams, and corporate borrowers across a wide range of industries.

The team employs a flexible investment approach across the capital structure, investing in senior debt, unitranche facilities, junior capital, mezzanine financings, structured equity, and other opportunistic credit situations. Professionals are exposed to highly customized transactions that require thoughtful underwriting, creative structuring, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

The role provides broad exposure to transaction execution, portfolio management, and investment analysis, offering the opportunity to work on a diverse set of investments ranging from traditional cash flow lending to more complex, event-driven, and special situations opportunities. Successful candidates will gain experience evaluating businesses, structuring investments, and partnering with sophisticated counterparties on differentiated financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite private credit investment opportunities
• Build and analyze financial models, cash flow forecasts, and capital structure analyses
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including company, industry, and management assessments
• Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal approval processes
• Support transaction execution and deal structuring efforts
• Monitor portfolio company performance and identify additional financing opportunities
• Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle

Qualifications

Analyst

• 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, Financial Sponsors, Corporate Banking, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and work ethic
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Associate

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, Direct Lending, Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, or another investing/lending role
• Experience evaluating and executing financing transactions
• Strong credit and investment underwriting capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and interact with senior stakeholders
