Job Description

DESCRIPTION: Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). Additionally, the Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Telework availability up to 16 hours per week.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience with Java
Experience with Python
Familiar with AWS
Knowledgeable with Hadoop
Demonstrated experience with Accumulo
Experience with Terraform
In-scope poly within 7 years

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. OR Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
