The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks safely and efficiently. • Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
