Senior Full Stack Developer

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join Zenith IT Services and work closely with the engineering team to design, build, and roll out full-stack AI-driven automations across the business. What You'll Do

Your core responsibilities and the impact you'll have:

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack engineering systems and automations (workflow automation, internal tooling, or AI-assisted features) from prototype through production.
• Architect and maintain scalable CI/CD and automation infrastructure.
• Set technical direction and best practices for the team - code quality, testing, reproducibility, and safe, responsible use of AI tooling.
• Evaluate new tools, models, and techniques for adoption and advise on architectural decisions.

Development & Deployment

• Own the full lifecycle of the systems you build: design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Partner with the wider engineering team to translate business problems into well-scoped automation and engineering solutions.
• Monitor production systems for performance, cost, and reliability; proactively identify and fix issues.
• Hands-on development across the full stack with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and backend systems.
• Mentor team members, review designs and code, and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Provide technical leadership on engineering practices and AI tooling adoption.
• Guide and coach other engineers through design reviews and code reviews.
• Foster a culture of learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with engineering and AI tooling, and evaluate new technologies.
• Willing and enthusiastic to learn new technologies with a genuine passion for AI.
• Contribute to building products and platforms for Zenith's future growth.
• Participate in architectural discussions and long-term planning.

What We're Looking For

Required skills and experience:

• 6+ years of real-world, hands-on software engineering experience working inside an organization.
• Mentoring experience - comfortable guiding, coaching, and reviewing the work of other engineers.
• Prior experience leading a team.
• Very strong proficiency with Git/GitHub, including branching strategies, pull requests, and collaborative workflows.
• Proven, hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to production.
• Deep familiarity with engineering best practices: testing, code quality, documentation, and design reviews.
• Comfortable giving and receiving code reviews and participating in design/architecture reviews.
• Experience with Postgres or SQL databases, including analytics/reporting use cases.
• Strong hands-on experience with: TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Experience designing and developing responsive web applications, including Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Strong programming skills in Python (and/or Go, Java, or TypeScript) with solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good engineering judgment.
• Excellent communication skills - able to work with stakeholders to understand automation needs.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience considered.

Nice to Have

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• Experience integrating large language models and foundation models into products: fine-tuning, RAG, prompt engineering.
• Experience shipping generative AI features (chat assistants, agents, copilots) to real users.
• Contributions to open-source projects or published technical writing.
• Strong UX instincts and a creative eye for intuitive, polished digital experiences.
• Startup or fast-paced product environment experience.
