Hybrid Tester

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Englewood, CO that is seeking a Hybrid Tester.

Position Overview

This is a hands-on testing role with an approximate 50/50 split between automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will be comfortable building automated test coverage while also executing manual testing to validate business workflows, integrations, and application functionality. The team is looking for someone who can work independently, contribute to overall testing strategy, and help improve quality processes across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright
• Create automation coverage for new features, enhancements, and regression testing
• Design and execute manual test cases for functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Validate business requirements, user stories, and application workflows
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure application quality
• Participate in sprint planning, testing activities, and release validation
• Support regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing efforts
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and overall quality processes
• Leverage AI-assisted tools such as Kiro and ChatGPT to enhance testing productivity and automation development

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of software testing experience
• Strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing
• Strong Playwright experience required
• Ability to create automation scripts from scratch
• Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and regression suites
• Experience testing web-based applications and complex business workflows
• Strong understanding of functional, integration, system, and end-to-end testing methodologies
• Experience with Kiro, ChatGPT, or similar AI-assisted development/testing tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Prior experience improving test automation coverage and QA processes
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
