Job Description
M&A Project Manager//Contract/30326
Atlanta, GA
Once established on the project they can work out a hybrid schedule.
6 -12 months
My client is seeking a Project Manager to support Technology Governance Integration on M&A technology transformation engagements. This role sits at the center of post-signing/post-close technology integration activity, with direct responsibility for managing Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) - tracking the services, milestones, costs, and exit criteria that govern how the buyer and seller (or divested entity) operate together during the transition period.
This is a detail-driven, ownership-heavy role. You will be the person who knows the exact status of every TSA line item, who is not afraid to dig into a services schedule or an exit-readiness checklist personally, and who keeps technology governance running cleanly even as deal timelines shift. You will bring structure to a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and be a trusted point of contact for both internal stakeholders and counterparts at the counterparty organization.
Key Responsibilities
Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All applicants must be currently authorized to work on a full-time basis in the country for which they are applying, and no sponsorship is currently available. Employment is subject to the successful completion of a pre-employment screening. Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process as required under MRP's Employment Accommodation policy. Applicants need to make their needs known in advance.

You will bring structure to a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and be a trusted point of contact for both internal stakeholders and counterparts at the counterparty organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day management of Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) related to technology: track in-scope services, exit criteria, costs, service levels, and target exit/termination dates across all workstreams.
- Stand up and run technology governance forums for the integration - steering committees, TSA status reviews, and cross-functional working sessions - including agendas, minutes, decisions, and action tracking.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between internal technology teams, deal/integration management office (IMO) leadership, and counterparty (buyer/seller/divested entity) stakeholders on TSA-related matters.
- Build and maintain detailed TSA trackers, exit readiness plans, and dependency maps; proactively identify services at risk of missing exit dates and escalate early.
- Coordinate with workstream leads (infrastructure, applications, security, data, network) to validate TSA service definitions, confirm exit criteria are being met, and de-risk cutover activities.
- Manage change requests and amendments to TSA scope, cost, or timeline, maintaining a clear audit trail and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Track and reconcile TSA-related costs and invoicing against agreed service schedules; flag discrepancies to finance and deal leadership.
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, RAID logs, and status reporting that roll up TSA and broader technology integration progress for executive and steering committee audiences.
- Get into the details when needed - reviewing a services schedule line by line, chasing down a missing exit artifact, or personally verifying a cutover step - rather than relying solely on workstream leads to self-report status.
- Support broader technology governance integration activities beyond TSAs, including Day 1 readiness, technology separation/integration planning, and post-close synergy tracking, as needed.
- Project management or program management experience, with direct experience on M&A technology integration, separation, or carve-out engagements.
- Hands-on experience managing or closely supporting Transition Service Agreements (TSAs) - understanding service schedules, exit criteria, cost structures, and governance obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex, ambiguous workstreams and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight.
- Highly organized, with rigorous attention to detail and comfort managing a high volume of concurrent trackers, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to get into the weeds - reviewing granular documentation, service schedules, or technical detail personally when the situation calls for it.
- Strong working knowledge of technology transformation delivery (infrastructure, applications, data, security, or network integration) sufficient to engage credibly with technical workstream leads.
- Experience standing up and facilitating program governance - steering committees, status reviews, decision and escalation processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for executive and deal-leadership audiences.
- Proficiency with project/program management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in a management consulting, corporate development, or M&A integration management office (IMO) environment.
- PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification.
- Experience with divestitures or carve-outs in addition to acquisitions (i.e., managing TSAs from both the buy-side and sell-side perspective).
- Familiarity with technology due diligence and Day 1 / Day 100 planning in an M&A context.
- Exposure to legal and finance stakeholders in the context of TSA contract terms, cost true-ups, or dispute resolution.
- Ownership mentality - treats TSA and governance outcomes as personally accountable, not just tracked and reported.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the discipline to keep dozens of moving parts current and accurate.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and under deal-driven time pressure, without losing rigor.
- Direct, clear communicator who can hold both internal and counterparty stakeholders accountable to commitments.
- Pragmatic problem-solver who knows when to escalate versus resolve independently.
- The opportunity to work at the center of high-profile M&A technology integration engagements for [industry/sector] clients.
- A defined career path within our M&A / Technology Transformation practice, with formal mentorship and training.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package, including [health/retirement/professional development details].
- A collaborative, high-performing team culture that invests in developing well-rounded consultants.
