Job Description
EU Major Incident Manager (Swedish Speaking)
Are you an experienced EU Major Incident Manager who thrives under pressure and enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment? We're looking for a Swedish-speaking IT professional to join our team and play a critical role in protecting business services across multiple European markets.
As our EU Major Incident Manager, you'll take ownership of high-priority incidents from identification through to resolution, bringing together technical teams, service providers, and business stakeholders to restore services quickly and minimise disruption. You'll be at the centre of critical decision-making, ensuring clear communication, strong coordination, and effective leadership throughout the incident lifecycle.
This is an opportunity to work with international teams across Europe, influencing outcomes and driving collaboration across multiple functions and suppliers. You'll also lead post-incident reviews, helping identify root causes and implementing improvements that strengthen service resilience and prevent future incidents.
We're looking for someone with proven experience in Major Incident Management, a strong understanding of ITIL best practices, and the confidence to lead complex incidents involving multiple stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you'll be responsible for providing clear updates to both technical and non-technical audiences while maintaining calm and control during business-critical situations.
Fluency in Swedish is highly desirable, and experience working within complex, highly available IT environments is essential. You'll be comfortable building relationships, influencing without direct authority, and working collaboratively with teams across different countries, cultures, and time zones.
In return, you'll join a supportive and collaborative team where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on service performance across the business. This hybrid role is based in Ashford, Kent, with occasional travel for meetings, site visits, and team events. The position also includes participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota, supported by an on-call allowance.
If you're passionate about service excellence, enjoy solving complex challenges, and have the leadership skills to manage major incidents in a dynamic international environment, we'd love to hear from you.
