Sr. AI/ML Engineer II (6883) with Security Clearance

As a Sr. AI/ML Engineer, you will design, build, deploy, and maintain production-ready AI and machine learning solutions, leveraging advanced ML techniques to support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities and drive mission-focused outcomes. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring secure and effective system integration, while translating complex findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences across the organization. What will the candidate do in this role?

Formerly know as - "What your day will look like" Serve as a hands-on technical lead for an AI/ML engineering team, providing technical guidance, architectural direction, and AI implementation strategy. Design, build, train, integrate, deploy, and maintain production-ready AI/ML models and applications in secure environments.

Apply machine learning techniques to support retrieval augmented generation
Present results to a diverse audience in presentation or report form
Support architectural leadership, technical support, and advisement services to ensure system technologies are integrated and meeting the appropriate security requirements
Communicate technical findings, architectural recommendations, and project progress to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. "Must Haves":
Minimum 6 years experience
Bachelor's OR Master's degree OR equivalent experience
Active TS with ability to get SCI access
You have extensive experience using open-source models to the largest extent possible or provide a comparable analysis and justification for using proprietary models
Strong hands-on experience designing, building, training, integrating, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models and production applications.

Experience designing and implementing agentic AI systems, including AI agents, orchestration workflows, and automated data-processing capabilities. Expert experience with at least two of following AI/ML methods: Generative AI/LLMs, NLP, RAG, and neural networks. At least 6 years experience with at least two following technologies: Python, TensorFlow, SciKit-Learn, Anaconda, Numpy, R, Keras, and Postgres
You have at least 6 years experience designing, implementing, and maintaining data architecture and services to be used for AI/ML.

Additionally, able to maintain the AI/ML models through user stories and DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline including any optimization and evaluation of alternatives
Expert experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions into classified AWS cloud environments at IL6+. You have the ability to perform data analytics on program related or system related activities.

This will include assessing performance and manual processes implementing methods/algorithms to automate and optimize
Strong experience with designing, developing, and deploying containerized AI/ML solutions
Ability to work primarily onsite across designated DC Metro locations, including Tyson's Corner and Reston, VA, with occasional customer-site visits.
