Endpoint Platform Engineer (IGEL / Workspace ONE / Linux)

Role Summary

This position entails supporting and maintaining a critical endpoint environment with a focus on Linux-based systems, IGEL thin clients, and Workspace ONE (Omnissa). The role requires a technically proficient engineer capable of managing platform stability, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance across enterprise endpoint devices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based endpoint systems, including thin client operating environments such as IGEL platforms
• Support and maintain enterprise-scale IGEL thin client deployments, ensuring stability and performance
• Administer Workspace ONE (Omnissa) for endpoint management, policy enforcement, and device configurations
• Diagnose and resolve OS-level, endpoint, and configuration issues promptly
• Troubleshoot hardware problems across laptops, desktops, thin clients, and peripherals, including firmware diagnostics
• Assist with platform rollouts, upgrades, and ongoing environment stabilization efforts
• Document standards, configurations, and operational procedures related to endpoint platforms
• Collaborate with EUC, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues proactively
• Participate in environment improvement projects and share best practices for endpoint management

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint or desktop environments
• Hands-on experience with IGEL or comparable thin client platforms
• Solid understanding of Linux operating systems at the endpoint level; server-heavy administration is not required
• Proven hardware troubleshooting expertise across a range of endpoint devices, including firmware-level diagnostics
• Experience with Workspace ONE / AirWatch (Omnissa) or similar mobile device management platforms
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to OS and endpoint-specific issues
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, large-scale enterprise environments
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Publishing Pay Range: $76.00 - $79.00 hourly

This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
